Transfer in a non .UK domain Print

The transfer process for domain names varies, dependent on the type of domain in question.

GTLD domains (ending in .com, .net, .org and most other domains)
  1. Ask your current domain provider for the domain name Authorisation Code (Auth or EPP code)
  2. Make sure you are listed as the Admin Contact, as an e-mail will get sent here
  3. Login to your account at My Digital Rainbow Solutions and click Transfer a Domain
  4. Enter the domain name and EPP or Auth code
  5. Add the domain to your cart and complete checkout
  6. An email will be sent - usually instantly but can take up to 6 hours - to the e-mail address listed as the Admin Contact
  7. Follow the link in this e-mail and Approve the transfer by entering the authorisation code obtained earlier
  8. Once authorised the transfer will complete automatically within 5 days

 

CentralNIC domains (ending in .uk.com, .gb.com, .eu.com, .uk.net, .gb.net and .eu.net)
  1. Ask your current domain provider for the domain's Authorisation Code (Auth or EPP code)
  2. Login to your account at My Digital Rainbow Solutions and click Transfer a Domain
  3. Enter the domain name and EPP or Auth code
  4. Add the domain to your cart and complete checkout
  5. The transfer will complete automatically within 5 days
